Come and join us for an exciting ONE-DAY tournament at ACE Pickleball Plano! It's going to be our 5th tournament for the Whatabangers Pickleball group!
Tourney Fees:
Early Bird Registration for 1 event through September 17th: $65
Regular Registration till October 8th: $75
Late Registration: $85
Adding an additional event is an extra $30
Register by September 17th to be eligible for a tournament shirt!
Refund Policy
Players who withdraw on or before 10/3 will receive a refund of the amount paid, less a $10 fee.
Example: Player paid $95 → Refund = $85
All refund requests must be received by 10/3. Requests received after this date will not be approved, except in the circumstances outlined below.
Exceptions to the deadline:
If a bracket doesn't make (i.e., not enough players), that player is excluded from the deadline and remains eligible for a refund up until the day of the tournament.
Not eligible for refund, regardless of timing:
If a player is moved due to incorrect DUPR entry or incorrect bracket registration and chooses to withdraw as a result, no refund will be issued.

📌 PRIZE & PAYOUT REQUIREMENTS
• 4.0 and 4.5 brackets must reach a minimum of 16 teams to receive the full cash payout.
• There is no minimum team requirement for the paddle prizes in the 4.0 and 4.5 brackets.
• There is no minimum team requirement for the paddle prizes in the 3.0 and 3.5 brackets.
• The 2.5 brackets must reach a minimum of 12 teams to receive the paddle prize.
• Cash payouts may be reduced or removed if the minimum team requirement is not met.
Schedules will be sent out a couple of days before the event!
FORMAT (2.5 - 4.5 events)
Teams will play a minimum of 3 matches. The format will be as follows:
- Pool-Play Round Robins (ALL TEAMS) to Single Elimination Bracket Play. First to 15, Win by 2.
- Top 4-6 teams will move out to Single elimination, depending on how many teams are in your bracket
- Gold medal match will be 2/3 games to 11, win by 2.
BALLS: Lifetime Balls will be used.
RATINGS
We use DUPR to ensure fair competition. The tournament director reserves the right to move any player(s) who are in the wrong brackets. All scores will be submitted to DUPR.
Register for brackets matching your DUPR rating:
- 2.5 bracket: 2.500 - 2.999
- 3.0 bracket: 3.000 - 3.499
- 3.5 bracket: 3.500 - 3.999
- 4.0 bracket: 4.000 - 4.499
- 4.5 bracket: 4.500 - 4.999
Players must stay within their bracket's range, with a 0.5 variance in rating (ie. Player has a DUPR rating of 3.32. He/She may play UP to the 3.5 - 3.99 bracket or choose to play in the 3.0 - 3.49 bracket). Players are not allowed to play DOWN. No exceptions.
Important Notes on DUPR
- Self-entered DUPR matches will be manually accounted for to prevent DUPR manipulation.
- If a player's DUPR score accuracy is below 60%, placement into the appropriate bracket will be at the tournament director's discretion.
- The DUPR score at registration will determine the bracket a player is eligible to play in.
- The DUPR score of a player at the time of registration is taken into account for bracket registration (ie. If a player has a DUPR score of 3.32 at the time of registration, they may register for a 3.0 - 3.49 event or choose to play UP within 0.5 variance of their DUPR rating. Upon event day, if their score has increased/decreased, we honor the rating at the time of registration).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please note that if you are playing in a doubles event and your partner does not register within 7 days of when you register, you will automatically be moved to the waitlist. Your spot in the main event will NOT be saved. If (after you are both registered and paid for the event) there is room in the main event, you will be moved back to the main event. If the event has filled up in the meantime, you will remain on the waitlist until a spot opens up.
Refunds are available for players who withdraw by 10/3. Players will receive a full refund, less $10 processing fee.
No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after 10/3, including players withdrawing due to bracket adjustments resulting from incorrect bracket registration.
