The Nuron Spring Kickoff Classic is an exciting competitive pickleball tournament designed to kick off the spring season with high energy play, strong competition, and cash prizes. Players will compete in round-robin pool play followed by playoffs to crown divisional champions across multiple skill levels.
Divisions will be offered in Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles at the 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 levels.
Tournament Format & Rules
• Format: Round-robin pool play followed by single-elimination playoffs
• Minimum Guaranteed Games: 4
• Scoring Format:
• Round Robin & Playoffs: 11 points, win by 2
• All Round Robin games are capped at 13
• Medal Matches: Best of 3 games to 11, win by 2
• Time Outs:
• 1 minute per team in Round Robin & Playoffs
• 2 minutes per team in Medal games
• Official Ball: LT Pro 48
• Courts: Indoor and Outdoor courts will be used
Divisions
• Men’s Doubles: 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5
• Women’s Doubles: 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5
• Mixed Doubles: 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5
The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust division start times or combine divisions when necessary to ensure competitive balance and smooth tournament flow. Players will be notified in advance of any changes.
Cash Prizes*
• $200 cash prize per division winner
*A minimum of 8 teams is required for a cash prize payout in a division. If fewer than 8 teams register in a division, the prize money will be $120.
Registration & Fees
• Early Bird Registration: $60 per player
• Standard Registration: $70 per player
• Registration Opens: Friday, February 13, 2026
• Registration Closes: March 12, 2026
All match results will be recorded in DUPR. Players are encouraged to ensure their DUPR profiles are active prior to the event.
Check-In & Warm-Up
• Players must check in at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled start time.
• Warm-up time:
• First match: 5 minutes
• Subsequent matches: 2 minutes
• Players must be present at the start of their pool. If a team is not ready within 5 minutes of a scheduled match start, the Tournament Director may declare a forfeit.
Rules & Conduct
• This event follows USA Pickleball rules.
• Only USAPA & UPA-A approved paddles are permitted.
• Players are responsible for their own line calls and scoring; tournament staff may assist if needed.
