RGV Summer Classic – Tournament Format Hosted at RGV Pickle
Join us for the RGV Summer Classic, an exciting tournament held at RGV Pickle featuring 12 indoor courts with excellent air conditioning, creating the perfect environment for competitive play.
The tournament will begin with a round-robin format, guaranteeing teams multiple matches.
Format Details:
If 8 teams register, they will be split into two brackets (4 teams per bracket).
Each team will play round-robin games within their bracket.
Games will be played to 11 points, win by 2.
Each team will receive one 60-second timeout per game.
Playoff Round:
The top 2 teams from each bracket will advance to the semifinals.
1st place in Bracket A vs 2nd place in Bracket B
1st place in Bracket B vs 2nd place in Bracket A
Medal Matches:
Semifinal winners will advance to the Gold Medal Match.
Semifinal losers will compete in the Bronze Medal Match.

An official RGV Summer Classic tournament shirt (Register by May 19th at 11:59PM to receive tournament shirt with your signup. Shirts will be available for purchase after the deadline while supplies last.)
Free water throughout the event
This format ensures plenty of games, competitive matchups, and an exciting finish as teams battle their way to the medal rounds.
Division Adjustments:
To ensure adequate playing time and a quality competitive experience, the tournament organizers reserve the right to merge divisions or brackets if necessary.
Refund Policy:
If a division has four (4) or more teams, no refunds will be issued. If a division has three (3) or fewer teams, participants will be eligible for a full refund.
Food & Beverage
All tournament participants will receive food on the days they play, along with complimentary water throughout the event to help keep players hydrated and ready to compete.
Additional drinks and snacks will also be available during the tournament.
