Welcome to the Moneyball Pickleball Tournament at Eastside Paddle Club! Get ready for a social, high-energy event where players compete for a share of the $500 prize pot each division. This tournament is designed for maximum fun and competitive spirit, pick your partner and NOT DUPR recorded, every team guaranteed at least 3 games in a round-robin format (Vulcan Pickleball).
Join us at one of Austin’s favorite pickleball venues, Eastside Paddle Club, where you’ll meet other passionate players, enjoy exciting matches, and have a chance to take home the cash prize. Whether you’re aiming to win or just here for the social vibes, this Moneyball event promises a great day of pickleball for all!
Requirements:
Founders Division:
At least one of the players must be a founder.
Pick your partner no limits on level or gender

5.0+ Mixed Division:
Combined team DUPR cannot be greater than 11

Tournament Format
Round Robin Stage
Pools: Two pools of 3 teams each.
Game Format: Play each team once to 11, regular scoring (cap at 13).
Timeouts: No timeouts permitted.
Advancement: All teams advance and are seeded; the top 2 teams receive a bye.
Playoffs
Matchups: #3 vs #6 and #4 vs #5.
Game Format: One game to 11, regular scoring (cap at 13).
Timeouts: No timeouts permitted.
Elimination: Losing teams are eliminated; winning teams advance to the semifinals.
Semifinals
Game Format: Remaining 4 teams play one game to 15, regular scoring (cap at 17).
Timeouts: One timeout per team.
Advancement: Winners progress to the championship.
Championship
Game Format: Best 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2, or one game to 15, win by 2 (depending on available time), side-out scoring.
Timeouts: One timeout per team.
Prize: Winning team receives $500.
Cancellation and Refund Policy for Pickleball Tournament
Cancellation by Participant:
Participants who wish to cancel their registration for the pickleball tournament must notify Moneyball Nation in writing or via email.
Full refunds will be provided for cancellations made one week (7 days) or more before the tournament start date.
Partial Refund Policy:
Participants cancelling their registration between 3 to 6 days before the tournament start date will be eligible for a partial refund, with an administrative fee deducted from the registration fee.
No Refund Policy:
No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 3 days of the tournament start date or for participants who fail to show up for the tournament without prior notification.
Refund Processing:
Refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe after the cancellation request is received and approved by Moneyball Nation.
Exceptions:
In case of extenuating circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, documented personal emergencies), Moneyball Nation reserves the right to review and potentially adjust the refund policy on a case-by-case basis.
By registering for the pickleball tournament, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the cancellation and refund policy outlined above.
