WhataBangers Summer Classic
Come join us for an exciting ONE-DAY pickleball tournament in the beautiful pickleball facility in Hurst, Texas - The Picklr. It will be an EPIC 4th tournament for the WhataBangers Pickleball group.
Tourney Fee
Early Registration for 1 event thru June 7th 11:59PM: $55
Regular Registration after June 7th: $65
Late Registration after July 1st: $75
Additional Event: $30 (Cash payout for 4.0 and 4.5 events)
Tentative Schedule will be posted closer to event day (Saturday, July 11th 2026).
FORMAT (2.5 - 4.5 events)
*4.0/4.5 events will be money events with cash payout (minimum of 10 teams needed)
Teams will play a minimum of 3 matches. The format will be as follows:
- Pool-Play Round Robins (ALL TEAMS) to Single Elimination Bracket Play. First to 15, Win by 2.
- Top 4-6 teams will move out to Single elimination, depending on how many teams are in your bracket
- Gold medal match will be 2/3 games to 11, win by 2.
BALLS: Lifetime Balls will be used.
RATINGS
We use DUPR to ensure fair competition. The tournament director reserves the right to move any players who are in the wrong brackets. All scores will be submitted to DUPR.
Register for brackets matching your DUPR rating:
- 2.5 bracket: 2.500 - 2.999
- 3.0 bracket: 3.000 - 3.499
- 3.5 bracket: 3.500 - 3.999
- 4.0 bracket: 4.000 - 4.499
- 4.5 bracket: 4.500 - 4.999
Players must stay within their bracket's range. No exceptions.
Important Notes on DUPR
- Self-entered DUPR matches will be manually accounted for to prevent DUPR manipulation.
- If a player's DUPR score accuracy is below 60%, placement into the appropriate bracket will be at the tournament director's discretion.
- The DUPR score at registration will determine the bracket a player is eligible to play in.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please note that if you are playing in a doubles event and your partner does not register within 7 days of when you register, you will automatically be moved to the waitlist. Your spot in the main event will NOT be saved. If (after you are both registered and paid for the event) there is room in the main event, you will be moved back to the main event. If the event has filled up in the meantime, you will remain on the waitlist until a spot opens up.
Refunds are available for players who withdraw by June 30th. Players will receive a full refund, less $10 processing fee.
No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after June 30th and includes players withdrawing due to bracket adjustments resulting from incorrect bracket registration.
We will have food/beverage vendors providing food/beverages for a nominal fee.
