1010 WINS Pickleball Tournament Spring 2025: Presented by Nissan
New York City's biggest single day tournament is BACK. 1010 WINS is thrilled to invite you to our Spring pickleball tournament, presented by Nissan and hosted in partnership with NYC Pickleball at SPORTIME Randall's Island.
Over 400 players and spectators from the tri-state area and beyond showed up for an incredible day of pickleball at our October tournament, so this time we're going even bigger. Compete with the best at your level in Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, this time with more courts, more divisions, and more prize money.
All play will take place in a premium climate-controlled facility on hard court tennis surface, with Franklin X-40 balls. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in all divisions, with additional prizes for medalists in the highest level "$1010 Prize Money" events.
Event Fees:
$100 per player, per standard event
$125 per player, per prize money event
There are additional non-refundable fees charged by the Fluid software platform ($5 per event; max $10 per player). No payment is required to join the waitlist. If you are moved to the waitlist after payment and do not get into the event, you will receive a full refund of the event fee listed above, but still be charged the Fluid software fee of $5 per event.

Medal and pre-medal matches will be games to 15, win by 2. Championship and Bronze match for the $1010 Open Prize Money divisions will be best 2/3, games to 11, win by 2.
* Power Pool Format
For the Men's Open event, the top 6 teams by DUPR will be grouped into a "Power Pool" to play against each other in the round robin. Those 6 teams will automatically make it into the playoffs, with the top 4 teams after the round robin getting a first round bye.
The 3 other pools of 6 will have the top 2 teams make it into the playoffs.
This is to create the most competitive pool play matches, and to allow the strongest teams a rare opportunity to play each other.
The top 6 teams will be locked in a week before the event, so by 8 AM on April 26th. This allows teams to have from now until then the opportunity to fight for one of those top 6 spots. Any DUPR manipulation is strictly prohibited, and if caught, you may forfeit your spot in the event without refund.
All events are subject to modifications and changes at any time.
If you would like to play in a bracket that does not match your current DUPR rating, please email tournaments@nycpickleball.com to discuss.
PAYMENT/PARTNER POLICY
Players must register and pay upon registration. Players without registered and paid partners by April 12th will be moved to a wait list if the division in which a spot is being held can be filled with fully registered and paid teams.
PARTNER REPLACEMENT POLICY
If you need to replace a partner after registration closes, please contact tournaments@nycpickleball.com no later than 6pm the day before the event to ensure your team information is updated in our system. Any replacement partner must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play.
EQUIPMENT POLICY:
The following paddles will be allowed:
Paddles on the UPA approved list https://upaa.unitedpickleball.com/approved-paddles/
AND
Paddles on the USAP approved list https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/ WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:
Joola: Perseus 14mm Mod TA-15
Joola: Perseus 16mm Mod TA-15
Gearbox: Pro Power Elongated
ProKennex: Black Ace Ovation
ProKennex: Black Ace Pro
ProKennex: Black Ace LG
ProKennex: Black Ace XF
We know these are meant to be sunset in July, but given the frequency with which some of these paddles break in and have excess amounts of power, we feel it is appropriate to be proactive and remove them from play.
If a player believes an opponent's paddle is severely core crushed (crunchy sound when pressing into paddle face), they have a right to ask the player to switch to a non-core crushed paddle or ask the Tournament Director (TD) to enforce a change. If a player refuses to change to a non-core crushed paddle, then they may risk forfeiting the rest of the event. Please be responsible and check your paddles before competing. The TD will use their discretion on the severity of the core crushing and whether a paddle needs to be removed from play.
CANCELLATION DEADLINE: April 23, 2024
Withdrawals initiated for any reason by the player on or before Wednesday April 23, 2025, will be processed for a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.
For players who are moved onto a waitlist or unable to participate after payment due to partner withdrawal / non-registration: Full refunds (minus the $5 Fluid admin fee) will be processed within 7-10 days after the tournament.
Fluid admin fees ($5 per event, max $8 per player) are non-refundable, even if the event is canceled or moved. No refunds or credits issued for any reason after April 23, 2025.
